We’ve always been committed to making Vectorworks software the best it can be. One of the ways we’ve acted on this commitment is by providing several updates each year to the software, so that you can see continuous quality boosts even within a single year’s version.
Update 7 does exactly that. A range of quality updates are sure to make your experience in Vectorworks more seamless. You can read all about Update 7 below.
We focus our investments on creating products centered on the design phases. We invest in building best-in-class technologies where they don’t exist; and when they do exist, we integrate them into our software solutions and build intuitive interfaces on top of it. We do this to create software that is simple to learn and simple to use. What we create for you should never dictate your design, rather it should make your process of designing simpler.

Features coming in Vectorworks 2025, such as On-Screen View Control, Object Visibility, and the Showcase previsualization mode, made their way through the development cycle presented on the roadmap. You can read more about those features here.
There are a few things you need to know about the roadmap to get the best use out of it.
Active Research – This is where we place feature ideas from you or us for which we’re investigating possible solutions.
In Development – Teams are actively working on the project. This transitions to Scheduled once the feature is demonstrated as ready.
Scheduled – Development for the feature is far enough along that we can commit it to a high-quality release.
