The Vectorworks Creative Genius Awards

Rules and Eligibility
The Vectorworks Creative Genius Awards Program is designed to meet the needs and qualifications of a variety of Vectorworks users. To be eligible at the time of submission, applicants must hold an active, paid-for or Not for Resale license of Vectorworks software.
Entries are accepted from individuals on behalf of firms who hold acceptable licenses. Any awards are awarded to the firm. The named representative must meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the program terms, and it is up to the firm to determine how any awarded prizes will be distributed internally.
Who May Enter
The Program is open to active Vectorworks users with commercial Perpetual or Subscription licenses, who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and who do NOT reside in Congo, Democratic Republic, Cuba, Eritrea, Iran, Liberia, Libya, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Russia, Belarus, Russian-backed Ukrainian regions (Donetsk, Luhansk, Crimea & Sevastopol) and Yemen. Employees and past employees of Vectorworks, Inc. and its distributors, partners, subsidiaries and affiliates, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they live) or persons living in the same households of such employees, whether or not related are not eligible.
How to Enter
During the Vectorworks Creative Genius Awards Program Term, eligible participants should visit vectorworks.net/creative-genius-awards to submit a qualified entry (“Submission”) by completing the following steps:
Complete the application form:
- Within the Vectorworks desktop application, click the Cloud menu and choose the option to Launch Vectorworks Cloud Services Website. If you are not logged in, use the same credentials as you use for Vectorworks and for the Vectorworks Customer Portal.
- On the Files page, create a folder to host your submission files.
- Upload your project files into the folder. Please include the Vectorworks file (.vwx). Supporting files can be in any format, for example: Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Pages, Keynote, .jpg, .pdf, .mp4, .mov. Images (.jpeg or .png) may be compiled into a .pdf file and submitted as one project file.
- With the folder name highlighted, click the Share Link icon and click the Copy icon to copy the link.
- Use this link on your entry form to direct us to your files.
Entries may not contain, as determined by the Sponsor, any content that is explicit or overtly suggestive, unnecessarily violent, offensive, or derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, or age group.

Creative Genius Awards Program Prizes

Winning Parties will be notified of their winning Submission before 17 April, 2026 via the email address the entrant provided on his/her application. If the Sponsor does not receive a response within five (5) days of outreach, a replacement Winner will be selected, and the initial Winner forfeits all rights and claims to the prize.
Term
The 2025 Vectorworks Creative Genius Awards program commences October 28, 2025 at 12:00:00 a.m. U.S. Eastern Standard Time (“ET”) and ends January 31, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. US ET. ALL COMPLETED SUBMISSIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 11:59:59 p.m. ET on January 31, 2026. The Sponsor’s database clock will be the official timekeeper for this Vectorworks Creative Genius Awards Program. Information on how to enter and prizes are a part of these official rules (“Official Rules”). By applying, each entrant agrees to these Terms and Conditions and warrants that his or her submission complies with all requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions.
License
By entering the Vectorworks Creative Genius Awards Program, all entrants grant an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide non-exclusive license to Vectorworks, such as partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, agents and their employees, officers, directors, and representatives, to reproduce, distribute, display and create derivative works of the entries (along with a name credit when possible) in connection with the Creative Genius Awards and marketing of the awards, in any media now or hereafter known, for no additional compensation, including, but not limited to: social media, email, advertising, collateral, website inclusion, and tradeshows. Display or publication of any entry on an Sponsor’s website does not indicate that the Entrant will be selected as a Winner. Sponsor will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such use as authorized by the License. Additionally, by entering, each Entrant grants to the Sponsor the unrestricted right to use all statements made in connection with the Vectorworks Creative Genius Awards Program, including winning photographs and each winner’s name, photograph, likeness, and/or voice in any publicity or advertising relating to the Vectorworks Creative Genius Awards Program or future promotions without compensation or approval (except where prohibited by law).
Limitation of Liability
By entering this award Program, all Entrants agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Sponsor from any claims, injuries, losses, and damages arising out of their participation in this Vectorworks Creative Genius Awards Program or any Vectorworks Creative Genius Awards Program-related activities and the acceptance and use, misuse, or possession of any prize awarded hereunder.
The Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or delay in operation or transmission; communications line failure; theft or destruction of or unauthorized access to the Program entries or entry forms; or alteration of entries or entry forms. The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems with, or technical malfunction of, any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, human errors of any kind, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to an Entrant or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation, uploading or downloading of any materials related to in this Vectorworks Creative Genius Awards Program.
Conditions
THIS AWARD PROGRAM IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. Entrants agree that this program shall be subject to, and governed by, the laws of the State of Maryland, USA. To the extent permitted by law, the right to litigate, to seek injunctive relief, or to make any other recourse to judicial or any other procedure in case of disputes or claims resulting from or in connection with this Vectorworks Creative Genius Awards Program are hereby excluded, and any Entrant expressly waives any and all such rights. Certain restrictions may apply.
By entering, Entrants also agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as that the decisions of the Judges are final and binding with respect to all matters relating to the program. Contacting judges is prohibited and any entrant or firm member who contacts a judge will be disqualified. Entrants acknowledge Sponsors’ right to verify eligibility of all participants including all firm members. Firms with ineligible or omitted participants will be disqualified.
All federal, state/provincial/territorial, and local taxes, fees and surcharges and taxes (whether foreign or domestic, and including income, sales, and import taxes) on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prize winners. Prize winners will be required to complete and return the appropriate IRS tax forms depending on their status: U.S. persons (including individuals and business entities) must submit IRS Form W-9, while non-U.S. persons must submit IRS Form W-8BEN or other applicable W-8 series forms. All winners must also complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Publicity Release (where lawful). For prizes valued at $600 or more, the Sponsor will issue IRS Form 1099-MISC to the winner, regardless of whether the winner is an individual or a business entity. All required paperwork must be completed and sent back to the Sponsor within seven (7) days. In the event that the selected Winner(s) of any prize is/are ineligible, cannot be traced, or does/do not respond within five (5) days to a winner notification as required by the “Vectorworks Creative Genius Awards Program Prizes” Rules above, refuses the prize, or does not return paperwork within seven (7) days of receipt as stated above, then the prize will be forfeited and the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, will select a replacement winner.
The Sponsor reserves the right to verify the validity and originality of any Entry and/or Entrant (including an Entrant’s identity and address) and to disqualify any Entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Official Rules or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Right to Cancel or Suspend Vectorworks Creative Genius Awards Program
If for any reason the Vectorworks Creative Genius Awards Program is not capable of running as planned, due to infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, Trojan horses, denial of service attacks, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Vectorworks Creative Genius Awards Program, then the Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual(s) who tamper with the entry process, and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Vectorworks Creative Genius Awards Program. If the Sponsor elects to cancel or terminate the Promotion, then the Sponsor will not retain any rights in the submitted Entries from that submission year.

Winners’ names will be available on vectorworks.net before 17 April, 2026. Send an email to creativegenius@vectorworks.net to receive information on the winners’ First Name, Last Initial, and Country.
