Seattle Vectorworks User GroupMeeting Notes 08/21/2014

Great meeting again. Benson showed Vectorworks drawings and on site mold work to replace a terra cotta Scamozzi column cap at entry of a historic register school building in Seattle. Mark Shuler, Seattle architect and long time Vectorworks user, let us into his world of planning, design, and presentation for high end residential projects. Although working in the current version, his workflow is saved sheets (renamed saved views since about v2011). He previewed aspects of several projects including generation of 2d existing conditions and construction sets. When 3d visualization is required, either for study or client, he often contracts with a trusted modeler who builds up detail, landscape and lighting in Vectorworks and other software. Very informative and inspiring! Thanks, Mark!

Next meeting - 6:00pm, October 23, Thursday, at Ballard Branch Library.
