Sean Flaherty is Chief Executive Officer of Nemetschek Vectorworks, Inc., based in the US. As CEO, Sean provides strategic leadership to the company by establishing and meeting company sales, growth, and market share objectives. At the same time, he brings his comprehensive knowledge of international markets and his deep experience in the software industry to the Executive Board of Nemetschek AG, based in Germany. In this role, he defines and executes the overall Nemetschek Group strategy in the global architecture, engineering, construction, and management markets.
Former CEO Mr. Diehl is chairman of Nemetschek Vectorworks. He is the founder of Diehl Graphsoft Inc. and served as its president and CEO since its inception in 1985. Prior to establishing the company, Mr. Diehl was a computer engineer for Privac, Inc., of Falls Church, Virginia, until March, 1985. Previously, he worked as a computer engineer for the Bendix Aerospace Technology Center in Columbia, Maryland, and as an engineering technician with W.R. Grace & Co. Mr. Diehl holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.
With responsibilities spanning a number of areas at Nemetschek Vectorworks, including sales, marketing, training, technical support, and customer service, Stewart oversees all go-to-market functions of the company to create the best possible experience for the Vectorworks customer.
Stewart manages the international channel and leads the U.S. sales team. He balances the needs of the company’s direct and indirect sales channels while developing effective sales and marketing strategies targeted to diverse audiences around the world. He oversees the company’s global communications efforts, and directs Nemetschek Vectorworks’ global product fulfillment and customer service departments. His team also serves as a conduit for customer feedback to the Vectorworks R&D team.
- Oversaw the global launches of four industry-specific products: Vectorworks Architect, Spotlight, Landmark, and Machine Design, and was the driving force behind communicating with these market segments to develop products specific to their needs.
- Was instrumental in leading Nemetschek Vectorworks to develop strategies to meet customer needs, such as expanded accessibility to products and interest in environmentally sound packaging.
- Grew the size of the Nemetschek Vectorworks sales/marketing team eight fold, from five employees to 40.
Stewart earned a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-New Brunswick.
He joined Nemetschek Vectorworks as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 2000, bringing to the role 15 years of experience managing all aspects of sales, marketing, and operations for companies in the landscape and construction industries.
Prior to joining Nemetschek Vectorworks, Stewart was a partner in a design-build construction firm serving the greater Baltimore/Washington D.C. metro area, where he managed the design estimation, sales, and marketing operations.
He previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Chapel Valley Landscape Company, and as Regional Manager for The Brickman Group, one of the largest landscape design-build and horticultural services companies in the U.S.
In addition, he filled the role of Sales Manager for an accounting and management software company serving the green industry, where he developed and executed the go-to-market strategy for the rollout of a new software product on the East Coast.

In landscape architecture school, Stewart says he learned to "find a way to create the dreams of our customers in the most efficient way." He has taken this principle with him throughout his career, continually keeping his customers top of mind with the ultimate goal of helping them to realize their dreams.
Stewart would like to see the company continue on its path to be "as responsive as possible to our customers in their quest for service." This includes broadening customer options for purchasing software, improving the customer Web experience, and continuously improving the skill level of the Nemetschek Vectorworks sales, marketing, and customer service teams.
He says he was fortunate to have three fantastic mentors during his career prior to joining Nemetschek Vectorworks, and learned much from these individuals who believed that "customer service came first, building teams came next, and the success of the company would follow." He also says "the most important investment you can make is in your people."

Stewart enjoys reading business books and is particularly interested in case studies focused on small- and medium-sized companies.
When not in the office, you can often find him on the slopes. He enjoys spending time skiing with his family, and his favorite ski destination is Breckenridge, Colorado.
He is very family focused and enjoys spending time with his wife of 29 years and their three sons.
Stewart maintains his passion for landscape design as a personal past time, and enjoys working in his yard and gardens at home.
As CTO, Biplab leads a team of software engineers and managers, quality assurance specialists, and technical writers to develop the feature set for Vectorworks software. He continually seeks out technology innovations and evaluates the competitive landscape to ensure Vectorworks software remains a best-in-class CAD and BIM solution for designers in the architecture, landscape, and entertainment industries.
As Chief Financial Officer of Nemetschek Vectorworks, Inc., Maria drives efficiency improvements across several areas, including systems and the accurate and timely reporting of historical financial information. She also oversees the company's capital structure and determines the best mix of debt, equity, and internal financings.
Mr. Pharr is the Chief Information Officer of Nemetschek Vectorworks. He has been with Nemetschek Vectorworks since 1991, and has also held the position of Chief Technology Officer. As CIO, Mr. Pharr is responsible for IT, management information systems, web applications and delivery technologies.
Prior to joining the company, Mr. Pharr developed mathematical induction solution software for Abtech, Inc., in Charlottesville, VA. He has researched and written in the fields of artificial intelligence and 3D graphics, as well as authored articles for software development publications.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Virginia’s School of Engineering and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.
Robert leads the Integrated Practice team at Nemetschek Vectorworks. In this role, he oversees the direction and scope of new product development. He also acts as an industry liaison with standards agencies, competitors, and customers.
In addition, Robert is a software architect and has designed features for the Vectorworks Architect software, 2D/3D integration, and interoperability capabilities.
