Sustainable Design Tools
This twenty minute video describes how Vectorworks can be integrated into your “green” designs. From locating your building on a site and creating a DTM (digital terrain model) several studies such as analyzing slopes, cut & fill calculations and water run-off can easily be achieved. We then describe how to optimize the size and placement of glazing within the building model as well as creating ventilation scenarios using the stack effect. And finally, a look at using solar animations to make decisions regarding roof overhangs completes the film.
